25 May 2025 Sixth Sunday of Easter

May 22

Despite our vacancy, St Francis church life; worship services, outreach activities and events remains very much alive! We are inviting and receiving wonderful support and care from retired and serving clergy and laity members (readers) across the Diocese in order to offer Eucharist and other worship services during this interregnum. Each week is different, interesting and uplifting!

Parishioners, volunteers and church officers, we all reach out; working together, caring and supporting each other and our community in love and faith. Come as before or if you are new, welcome and join us. We continue to offer the following regular services:

Tuesday @1930 Said Eucharist

Wednesday @1030 Said Eucharist (Morning Worship sometimes)

Update: Great news, most Wed 10:30 am services will be a Said Eucharist except for one, now and then in the form of a Service of the Word or Morning Worship.  We have had incredible support from priests all over Herts visiting to preside over our Wednesday morning communion services. We aim and continue to secure more clergy coverage all the time – please check online or call our Parish Office: 01707 694191, Wed to Fri 9:30 to 12 noon).

Sunday @0800 Said Eucharist and @0915 Parish Communion (sung)

Frankie’s @5 informal Worship Service on the first Sunday of each month

(Next service: Sunday 1 June 2025)

Choral Evensong @1800 on the fourth Sunday of each month

(Follows traditional pattern in The Book of Common Prayer and consists of choral music (psalms, canticles, and anthems) in the rich Anglican musical tradition, scripture readings, and prayers. The service provides a time for quiet reflection.)

Please pray with us and for us as we have started the process of looking for a new minister!
