St Francis of Assisi church is an Anglican (Church of England) community which is part of the Diocese of St Albans. The Bishop of St Albans, Rt Revd Dr Andrew Rumsey, has just joined the diocese, and our Suffragan Bishop, the Bishop of Hertford, Rt Revd Dr Jane Mainwaring. Our sister churches in Welwyn Garden City are St Mary Magdalene Church, The Parish of Digswell (which includes St John’s Parish Church, and Christ the King Hub Haldens, and Panshanger Church which is an Anglican church linked with other denominations (LEP).
Our church family is made up of all ages and backgrounds and we would love you to come along to one of our services or one of our groups. There’s plenty going on – Sundays and throughout the week.

Finances
Our church is entirely funded by the people who come here and who consider themselves part of our community, and running this church costs in excess of £130k per year. We have more outgoings to keep the church running that we have in income.
