Weekday Children’s Activities

We believe children and young people are full members of the Body of Christ and place great importance on nurturing their faith. We have a local schools programme and work with uniformed organisations, several of which meet at St Francis.

Cellar is our youth group for Year 4+ children. We meet on Fridays in term time, 5.30 - 6.55 pm.

When the children arrive, they catch up over a meal. They're passionate about their community and world. We aim to support this enthusiasm and expand their interests with a programme of visitors and activities.

We've welcomed a yoga teacher (and had a go ourselves!); a missionary from Malawi; and volunteers from a local food bank. We've written to a child in Eygpt and helped one another with a sewing project. We love group games too - especially a bit of dodgeball!

We take an active part in St Francis events such as the Christmas Tree Festival and the Summer Fete. The 'Cellar' name comes from one of the meeting areas at St Francis that we use. The children fundraised to renovate the space and are now planning soft furnishings to make it a great environment for all.
