Take Heart

Mar 19

During these particularly challenging times, the Church is called, as always, to be good news to the vulnerable, the poor and the oppressed.

We believe in the power of Jesus Christ to meet us in our need and to transform our troubled hearts. Jesus told us that in this world we would have trouble, but to take heart, for he has overcome the world! (John 16:33)

We are also called to be good neighbours. Please be mindful of that when stocking up in the shops, but also when thinking of the old and vulnerable in your local area. Is there anything you can do to help them? This is not a time for 'every man for himself'.

Philippians 4:8-9

Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.
