15 June 2025 Trinity Sunday

Jun 13

St Francis is in vacancy – the time between one incumbent (resident priest) leaving and the next one starting. For church services, community activities and events, this is business as usual. We have started the work to appoint a new minister however this is a lengthy process!

Meanwhile we are supported with love and care from many retired or serving clergy and laity members (readers) across the Diocese. Occasionally the mid-week Said Eucharist (yes, this means once in a while) may take the form of a Service of the Word i.e. non-Eucharist. We offer Eucharist services on all Sundays. Our visiting priests each with their unique experience, outlook  and approach have given us equally exciting sermons and uplifting worship!

As parishioners, volunteers and church officers, we continue to reach out; work, care and support each other and our community in love and faith. Come as before or if you are new, welcome and join us.

Reminder: We have an additional mid-week Eucharist service to celebrate the Feast of  Corpus Christi on Thursday, 19 June @8pm.

We continue to offer the following:

Tuesday @1930 Said Eucharist

Wednesday @1030 Said Eucharist (Morning Worship sometimes)

Update: Great news, most Wed 10:30 am services will be a Said Eucharist except for one, now and then in the form of a Service of the Word or Morning Worship.

Sunday @0800 Said Eucharist and @0915 Parish Communion (sung)

Frankie’s @5 informal Worship Service on the first Sunday of each month

(Next: 6 July starts with a special Afternoon Tea Party @4pm followed by the service

Choral Evensong @1800 on the fourth Sunday of each month

(Follows traditional pattern in The Book of Common Prayer and consists of choral music (psalms, canticles, and anthems) in the rich Anglican musical tradition, scripture readings, and prayers. The service provides a time for quiet reflection.)

Please pray with us and for us as we have started the process of looking for a new minister!

(Next service: 22 June)
