Josh joined the St Francis Ministry Team as Assistant Curate in 2013 and was ordained to priesthood in June 2014.
"I have lived for most of my life in St Albans, and went to school in Elstree. Having spent some time in Australia after school, I attended the University of Nottingham where I read Theology.
I began my training for ordained ministry in 2011, at Ripon College Cuddesdon in Oxford, where I also completed an MTh in Applied Theology. I was ordained in 2013 in St Albans Abbey.
It was at college in 2012 that I met my wife, Emma, who is originally from Bedford and is an Assistant Curate at a church in Luton.
As a former chef, I have a great love for good food and drink. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, sport (especially rugby and football) and watching classic British comedy."
Jenny, our Vicar, became Priest-in-Charge of St. Francis of Assisi church in March 2010.
‘I was bought up in North London but went to school in Hertfordshire. I read Psychology at Exeter University for my first degree and then went on to attain Post-graduate qualifications in Counselling Psychology from London University.
I trained for ordained ministry at Westcott College, Cambridge and then served my curacy in Stevenage. I then moved to Kinsbourne Green, Harpenden, before taking up this post.
I very much enjoyed my time there and much was achieved including the planning and building of a large extension to the church. I also kept up my academic studies, completing a MA in Pastoral Liturgy from Heythrop College London.
For relaxation my family (my husband and our two boys) and I love to be outdoors playing sport or walking, particularly in the Austrian mountains. I have a love for music and giving time for friends and family.’
